Sacred Heart Day 12
Mother Mary treasured and meditated the Word of God in her heart
Lk 2:19 As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart. Mother Mary treasured and dwelt on God's Word day and night. The shepherds in the field received word from the angel of the Lord that Christ the Lord had been born at Bethlehem for the salvation of the entire world. They all agreed to travel to Bethlehem to see Christ's birthplace. God authorized and revealed to the poor shepherds the most important message: Jesus Christ was born for all humanity. They went to see Jesus Christ and his parents, Mary and Joseph, and told them about the word they received from the Angel. Mother Mary listened to everything the shepherds said but did not say anything; instead, she kept and pondered everything in her heart. She has a heart like Jesus, and we should pray for the Heart of Jesus to live as he desires.
John 19: 31-37, in this reading the verse 34 has touched me a lot. John 19: 34 one of the soldiers pierced his side with a lance; and immediately there came out blood and water. Water and blood emerged from Jesus' heart. The revelation of Divine Mercy to St Faustina was the same as when Jesus appeared to her and showed her his heart through streams of light in red and white. As Jesus spoke to her. "The pale Ray stands for the Water which make the souls righteous; the red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls"
