Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 15

The Institution of the Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Luke 22:19–20 (NJB): Then he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ 20 He did the same with the cup after supper, and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood poured out for you.  Jesus and his apostles gathered together in Upper Room to share the Passover meal together. Jesus is establishing the Eucharist now by his words, by raising the bread he said; “this is my body”, and lifting the cup of wine he said, “this is my Blood, poured out for you. Jesus made the New Covenant by shedding his own Blood on the cross in Calvary. Jesus sat together with the Apostles to share the Passover Meal, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus is going to sacrifice his Body on the Cross to give them the life in eternity.  Before his passion and death, he would like to reveal this most  holy sacred mystery to them ‘the Everlasting Eternal Covenant’ which was our Heavenly Fathers’ plan for the salvation of all the souls.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 14

Anyone who eat my Body and drink my Blood has eternal life

John 6:54–56 (NJB): Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise that person up on the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in that person.

Here Jesus reveals the mystery of Eucharist. He says whoever eats his flesh and drink his blood will have eternal life. In the Gospel of John in chapter 6 is the discourse of Eucharist, and he reveals about his Body and Blood. Jesus became only and one sacrifice for our salivation. God created the everlasting covenant, revealed to His prophets, which is sealed by the Blood of Jesus. He established the Eucharist, the Body and Blood made it as eternal food. Those who eats his Body and drink his Blood will have eternal life. Jesus says, when we eat his Body and drink his Blood lives in him and live in that person in eternity.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 13

Jesus has entered the sanctuary once and for all, taking with him, his own blood,

Hebrews 9:11–14 (NJB): “But now Christ has come, as the high priest of all the blessings which were to come. He has passed through the greater, the more perfect tent, not made by human hands, that is, not of this created order; 12 and he has entered the sanctuary once and for all, taking with him not the blood of goats and bull calves, but his own blood, having won an eternal redemption. 13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkled on those who have incurred defilement, may restore their bodily purity. 14 How much more will the blood of Christ, who offered himself, blameless as he was, to God through the eternal Spirit, purify our conscience from dead actions so that we can worship the living God”. Our Lord and High Priest, Jesus Christ, came to create everything new. He destroyed the old system of animal sacrifice and instead established the New Covenant by offering Himself as sacrifice by shedding His own blood. With his own blood, Jesus entered the sanctuary once and for all, winning eternal redemption for all humanity. Animal sacrifices solely serve to cleanse the human body of uncleanness. By shedding His own blood, Jesus Christ became the one and only sacrifice. Our Lord is a living God, not a dead God, but an eternal living God. He transformed our timid dead actions into living deeds to worship the living God. He came by the eternal Spirit to cleanse our conscience of the dead. Jesus made Himself available in the sanctuary in Blessed Sacrament for all eternity. We can worship the living God in this way.

Lord, teach us to serve you in eternity. Lord, let our offering always with humble and contrite heart.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 12

Be confident and believe in the Blood of Jesus

Hebrews 10:19–20 (NJB): ‘We have then, brothers, complete confidence through the blood of Jesus in entering the sanctuary, 20 by a new way which he has opened for us, a living opening through the curtain, that is to say, his flesh.’ How we enter into the sanctuary, the holy place is a mystery. We normal people are not allowed enter into His sanctuary but by the Holy Spirit, through praying in the Divine Liturgy by the priests and the holy people of God. In the last century the churches were using curtains to separate the Alter and the sanctuary. The curtain represents the flesh or Body of Jesus, through which he gave us the freedom to express our faith. Jesus has opened us a new way to approach him and live in his presence. His His presence he revealed to us by giving his Body and Blood to us. Where there is the Body of Christ is present in the Most Holy Sacrament of Alter and we can approach him fearlessly at any time. Now we have the courage to enter into his Kingdom as he opened the door by his own sacrifice of shedding his own Blood.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 11

Lord, You shed Your own Blood to expiate all kind of our sins.

Leviticus 16:15–16 (NJB): He will then slaughter the goat for the sacrifice for the sin of the people, and take its blood inside the curtain, and with this blood do as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkling it on the mercy-seat and in front of it. 16 This is how he must perform the rite of expiation for the sanctuary for the uncleanness of the Israelites, for their acts of rebellion and all their sins. The purification of the Alter and Mercy Seat of God is very essential. The High Priest Aharon has to slaughter the goat as sacrifice and sprinkle the blood on the Mercy seat. Blood has the power to expiate the sins which is the mercy of God on His people. While sprinkling the blood by Aharon, the sanctuary will be purified from all kinds of uncleanness of Israelites, their sins and their rebellion against God and His commandments. Without shedding Blood there is no expiation of sins. The blood which was shed by Jesus will purify all those who believe in him for the generations after generations. The Body and Blood we consume during the Holy Mass, the Holy communion is the most blessed, the only food man can have on earth which is coming down from Heaven. What a privilege God has given to us through our Lord Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son.

Lord, you shed your own Blood to expiate all kind of our sins, by giving up your own life as an everlasting sacrifice. Lord, purify me and cleanse me by Your Precious Blood.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 10

Lord, I have sinned have mercy on me.

Matthew 27:4 (NJB): I have sinned. I have betrayed innocent blood.’ They replied, ‘What is that to us? That is your concern.’ The high priests and Pharisees replied, "That is not their concern; whatever their intentions had been fulfilled, they no longer require him." Judas realized he had betrayed the innocent victim, Jesus. But it was too late for him to notice. He never returned to our Lord after repenting of his crimes. However, he hanged himself to end his life without reconcile with our Lord. We can see the evil speaking to Judas through the high priests and other prominent Jewish leaders; what does that mean for them? They have done for the Jews what the plot of Evil requires. It is to crucify Jesus and undermine God's plan to bring redemption to the Jews and the entire world. Jews were saying that it is not their concern, nothing their concern. What is our concern about Jesus crucified? He has shed his own Blood to bring us the salvation. The saints are the beautiful flowers from His garden whom are spreading the fragrance to whole world even after their death. God has glorified them from eternity to make them the servants of His Garden.

Lord, forgive our sins and bring us salvation.
