Sacred Heart, Day 15

Lord, give us your Spirit, let our heart flow with your love and the streams of living water.

Jn 7: 37-39 On the last day, the great day of the festival, Jesus stood and cried out: ‘Let anyone who is thirsty come to me! 38 Let anyone who believes in me come and drink! As scripture says, “From his heart shall flow streams of living water.” 39 He was speaking of the Spirit which those who believed in him were to receive; for there was no Spirit as yet because Jesus had not yet been glorified. Jesus is telling those who are thirsty to come closer to him and believe in him, inviting us to drink the living water.  Here, Jesus invites us to come to him on one condition: we must believe in him as the Son of the Living God. Our hearts shall flow with streams of live water, which is the Spirit of God. Our hearts should be filled with Jesus' love; in this way, we shall pour out his love from inside, which is true evangelism. Following his death and resurrection, Jesus sends his Spirit to strengthen us.

Sacred Heart, Day 14

So my heart rejoices, and my soul delights in Him.

Let us all thank God for the beautiful blessing of remembering Jesus' loving heart, which embraces all of us. Remember that the month of June is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. So we must reflect on his heartfelt mercy toward us. Let us stay close to his heart and remember him during this month of June, which is dedicated to him. Most of our homes are devoted and venerated, with an image of the Sacred Heart prominently displayed. Ps 16:8-10 I keep Yahweh before me always, for with him at my right hand, nothing can shake me. So, my heart rejoices, my soul delights, my body too will rest secure, for you will not abandon me to Sheol, you cannot allow your faithful servant to see the abyss. Let God be our friend and redeemer. We should always follow our Lord and walk behind him, since he will take care of us. When the Lord is with us, our hearts rejoice, and our soul finds peace in him. If He is our right hand, nothing can shake us. The Psalmist praises God, saying that He would not abandon us in Sheol or cast us into the abyss. The psalmist experiences God's presence and lovely company in his life, and he acknowledges God as his ultimate savior.

Sacred Heart Day 13

Lord, cleanse our heart and make it pure and holy

Jesus Says: Mt 15: 18-19 But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and it is this that makes someone unclean. 19 For from the heart come evil intentions: murder, adultery, fornication, theft, perjury, slander. 20 These are the things that make a person unclean. But eating with unwashed hands does not make anyone unclean.’ Whatever comes out of the mouth comes directly from the heart. When a person's heart is not pure and holy, they become unclean and lose God's mercy. Avoid all evil intents, as Jesus revealed in his own words, and this is how we can regulate our hearts' intentions. The yearning for evil makes us unclean, but not with unwashed hands. So we must keep our hearts holy and pure, and the fountains of life will pour from them. We must constantly examine our hearts to ensure that they are worthy of our Lord. All our ideas and words originate in our hearts, and controlling the hearts allows us to control our tongue. Pr 4: 23 More than all else, keep watch over your heart, since here are the wellsprings of life. Whatever comes out of the mouth comes from heart itself. Always keep an eye on our hearts; the streams of living water flow from those who keep their hearts spotless and pure. Lord will evaluate our pure hearts; let us approach Jesus with complete trust that he will give us a humble and holy heart.

Sacred Heart Day 12

Mother Mary treasured and meditated the Word of God in her heart

Lk 2:19 As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart. Mother Mary treasured and dwelt on God's Word day and night. The shepherds in the field received word from the angel of the Lord that Christ the Lord had been born at Bethlehem for the salvation of the entire world. They all agreed to travel to Bethlehem to see Christ's birthplace. God authorized and revealed to the poor shepherds the most important message: Jesus Christ was born for all humanity. They went to see Jesus Christ and his parents, Mary and Joseph, and told them about the word they received from the Angel. Mother Mary listened to everything the shepherds said but did not say anything; instead, she kept and pondered everything in her heart. She has a heart like Jesus, and we should pray for the Heart of Jesus to live as he desires.

John 19: 31-37, in this reading the verse 34 has touched me a lot. John 19: 34  one of the soldiers pierced his side with a lance; and immediately there came out blood and water. Water and blood emerged from Jesus' heart. The revelation of Divine Mercy to St Faustina was the same as when Jesus appeared to her and showed her his heart through streams of light in red and white. As Jesus spoke to her. "The pale Ray stands for the Water which make the souls righteous; the red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls"

Sacred Heart Day 11

The clean of hands and pure of heart will dwell on the mountain of God

Ps 24: 3-4 Who will go up to the mountain of Yahweh? Who will take a stand in his holy place?  The clean of hands and pure of heart, whose heart is not set on vanities, who does not swear an oath to deceive.

God is inviting us to come to heaven, where He lives. The Lord has asked us to fulfill a condition in order to live on the holy mountain. We should have clean hands, which means no physical or mental sins that displease our Lord. The Lord is blessing us to go up to the mountain of the Lord. He invites us to live with Him, with clean hands and a pure heart. There is one requirement that does not entail taking an oath to lie our Lord. When we resolve to go up to the mountain of the Lord, we shouldn't be allowed to any worldly pleasures. Never commit any treachery against God that would falsify an oath we took with Him. Approaching our Living God requires a holy and pure heart. Do not forget the vow we made to God.

Matthew 5:3 (NJB): How blessed are the poor in spirit: the kingdom of Heaven is theirs. We should have a spirit of humility and gentleness. Always have the mind of nothingness or poverty in spirit and petition the Lord for mercy. How is it possible for us to view heaven? We may believe it is far away and that we cannot approach unless we die. However, the Lord will provide us the grace to see glimpses of paradise while we are on earth. Many narrow pathways may appear in our lives to confuse our faith. Many people will persecute us despite our righteousness, but God will witness all of our sorrows and will not abandon us. Matthew 5:10 (NJB): 10  Blessed are those who are persecuted in the cause of uprightness: the kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

Sacred Heart Day 10

Lord Said: “My Heart has turned to wax, is melting inside me.”

Ps 22;14 My strength is trickling away, my bones are all disjointed, my heart has turned to wax, melting inside me.

The psalmist prophesies and explains Jesus' sufferings during his passion. The heart of Jesus has melted like wax within him. If we reflect on his Sacred Heart, we will realize that his heart is melting for us. The Lord has taken all our suffering to preserve us from the fires of hell. How Jesus bore the Cross is an incredible act of suffering. Jesus carried a cross that was three times heavier than his body. Jesus carried it for a half-mile across Jerusalem's streets. We can't understand the grief and suffering he is endured along the Way of the Cross. In the midst of all these sorrows, he was pouring his kindness on all of humanity from his broken heart. Jesus' heart overflowed with pity and grace when he was crucified and died on the Cross.

Sacred Heart Day 9

Lord, help us to circumcise our hearts and renounce our sins

Jer 4:4 Circumcise yourselves for Yahweh, apply circumcision to your hearts, men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, or my wrath will leap out like a fire and burn with no one to quench it, in return for the wickedness of your deeds.”The Lord is asking us to circumcise our hearts, which are filled with all kinds of malice and evil. If we do not repent of our sins, God will unleash vengeance and destroy us. The Lord is exceedingly worried about our wickedness and unclean activities. Our hearts should break deeply, preparing them to embrace our Lord. One thing is certain: the Lord is asking us to repent, and He will accept us back. We must abandon all worldly pleasures and transgressions that offend God. Sirach 17:24 -26 (NJB): But to those who repent he allows return, and he encourages those who have lost hope. Return to the Lord and renounce your sins, plead before his face, stop offending him. 26 Come back to the Most High, turn away from iniquity and hold all that is foul in abhorrence. The Lord is urging us to repent and return to him. Let us, with a penitent heart, beg our Lord for the forgiveness of sins.
