Word of God, On 10th  August, 2024

All glory and praise to You, my Lord.

  Rm 8: 31-32 After saying this, what can we add? If God is for us, who can be against us? Since he did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for the sake of all of us, then can we not expect that with him he will freely give us all his gifts?

There is nothing we can add to Jesus' teachings; simply obey His commands and submit to Him. He will bless and protect us for all eternity. If God is with us, no one has the authority to destroy or remove us from Jesus' presence. When we think of Jesus, we remember that he was our Lord and God's only son. He did not spare His only Son in the case of the true victim, and he cannot be replaced by any human being or angel in Heaven. Jesus is the only incarnation of God Himself, and he decided to sacrifice himself to accomplish his Father's purpose. God has turned over Jesus to the world's authorities for execution. If God has risen Jesus from the dead, how many valuable things might we expect from Him freely?

Part 52

Lord, let us meditate Your Word to keep us away from darkness

  Mother Mary pondered the Word of God in her heart and believed the message of God, which sent to her by angel Gabriel. ‘He went in and said to her, ‘Rejoice, you who enjoy God’s favour1 The Lord is with you,’ The angel said to her again ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of Most High. The God will give him the Throne of his ancestor David; he will rule over the House of Jacob for ever and his reign will have no end.’ 

  Mother Mary pondered these Words of God. Lk 2:19 As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart. and she believed and obeyed what God said to her. She was given precedence in presenting her body as an ark for God's Word. We should not think about anything in today's world, which is full of illusions, fallacies, and lies. Sometimes we are more concerned and anxious about our loved ones, so we put them first and God second. To cultivate holiness and other qualities, we should focus solely on God's Word.  We may fall many times while thinking wicked ideas, yet the Lord is calling us back to reconcile with Him. Lord, how wonderful are your teachings on obedience and humility for achieving holiness. It is indeed a war between good and evil for us to reach spiritual growth. ‘The weapons with which we do battle are not those of human nature, but they have the power, in God’s cause, to demolish fortresses. It is ideas that we demolish, every presumptuous notion that is set up against the knowledge of God, and we bring every thought into captivity and obedience to Christ; Once you have given your complete obedience, we are prepared to punish any disobedience.’ (2 Cor. 10: 4-6) We might be able to understand how new ideas and disciplines influence humans. When we are in the Lord, we are called to demolish these concepts so that we might have obedience, rectify disobedience, and lead them to eternal life. If we do not obey, how do we correct the disobedience?

All glory and praise to You, my Lord.

  All glory and praise to You, my Lord. My words are just human words and there is no divine meaning in that. So Lord, I trust in Your Word, which is Eternal. We should glorify God in everything in everything we do, as St Paul beautifully conclude: Eph. 3: 20-21 Glory be to him whose power, working in us, can do infinitely more than we can ask or imagine; glory be to him from generation to generation in the Church and in Christ Jesus for ever and ever. Amen. God’s wisdom is immeasurable and we cannot reach her: Sir 24: 28-29 NJB The first man did not finish discovering about her, nor has the most recent tracked her down; for her thoughts are wider than the sea, and her designs more profound than the abyss. We can just praise Him from our heart and we should not be tired of praising Him. Whatever we are doing is just a drop of water in the ocean, but we should do it for the glory of God, as St Mother Therese said: ‘I am just a drop of the water in the ocean, but the ocean may be less without that drop of water.’In God's sight, whatever we accomplish, no matter how modest, is extremely valuable. If we do everything completely for the glory of God, we shall be blessed a hundredfold. However, do not wait or expect anything from the Lord; God has His own time for everything, and He will not reject us. We should accomplish nothing for our personal glory; only God should be honored. He looks inside our hearts, not at our own efforts or virtues. Rm 11: 33-36 How rich and deep are the wisdom and the knowledge of God! We cannot reach to the root of his decisions or his ways. Who has ever known the mind of the Lord? Who has ever been his adviser? Who has given anything to him, so that his presents come only as a debt returned? Everything there is comes from him and is caused by him and exists for him. To him be glory for ever! Amen.

Lord, help us in our weakness to pray wholeheartedly 

  Rm 8: 26-28 And as well as this, the Spirit too comes to help us in our weakness, for, when we do not know how to pray properly, then the Spirit personally makes our petitions for us in groans that cannot be put into words; and he who can see into all hearts knows what the Spirit means because the prayers that the Spirit makes for God’s holy people are always in accordance with the mind of God. 

  The Holy Spirit comes to assist us in praying or being united with God. Our soul requires prayer; else, it would be afraid and entangled with the evil spirit, destroying our relationship with the Lord. We have no idea how to utilize the words to pray. When we are united with God, the Spirit leads us to pray in groans and tears, filled with God's love in abundance in our hearts. Only God can see our heart’s situation, so to keep our hearts holy and pure by constant prayer. The Spirit always helps God's holy people pray correctly through the thinking of God.

We are guided by the Spirit of God 

Romans 8:14–17 (NJB): All who are guided by the Spirit of God are sons of God; 15 for what you received was not the spirit of slavery to bring you back into fear; you received the Spirit of adoption, enabling us to cry out, ‘Abba, Father!’ 16 The Spirit himself joins with our spirit to bear witness that we are children of God. 17 And if we are children, then we are heirs, heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, provided that we share his suffering, so as to share his glory. 

Those who are guided by the Holy Spirit are God's sons and daughters. What we received is not the spirit of slavery, which will return us to the fear of evil. God receives us through the Spirit of Adoption, thus we are His adopted children. Then we are God's offspring, therefore we call Him Abba, Father! So we are heirs of His Kingdom as well as joint heirs of Jesus Christ. When we share Jesus' sorrows, God also gives us a share in Christ Jesus' eternal glory.

Word of God, On 4th August, 2024

God’s glory as our destiny, Lord might sanctify us from the sins

 Rm 8:18–23 NJB  In my estimation, all that we suffer in the present time is nothing in comparison with the glory which is destined to be disclosed for us, for the whole creation is waiting with eagerness for the children of God to be revealed. It was not for its own purposes that creation had frustration imposed on it, but for the purposes of him who imposed it— with the intention that the whole creation itself might be freed from its slavery to corruption and brought into the same glorious freedom as the children of God. We are well aware that the whole creation, until this time, has been groaning in labour pains. And not only that: we too, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we are groaning inside ourselves, waiting with eagerness for our bodies to be set free. 

  Our current pain is insignificant compared to the immense blessings bestowed upon us by our Lord. The Lord has disclosed His destiny to us, and the entire creation is ready to see God's grandeur. The reason God imposes dissatisfaction on us is to release us from the slavery of sin. God desires that we be free of the corruption that pervades today's world. Similarly, God desires that all of creation be free of the taint brought on by evil intents to destroy everything. The whole creation was burdened with evil intentions and natural inclinations, moaning in misery and yearning with God for eternal freedom.
