Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 9

 

Jesus Son of God, crucified and died on the Cross by shedding His own Blood 

Ezekiel 43:18 (NJB): He said to me, ‘Son of man, the Lord Yahweh says this, “As regards the altar, this is how things must be done when it has been built for the sacrifice of the burnt offering and for the pouring of blood. Jesus built the Alter for his sacrifice, the Cross on Calvery and then after his death and resurrection, we bulit multitude of Alters in the most beautiful Catholic Churches around the world to repeat his sacrifice at every moment. We should  never fail the memory of his own sacrifice from our heart. The Alter resembles where his Crucifix is in presence. The priests celebrate the Mass and consecrate the bread and wine by facing the crucifix symbolising the sacrifice of Jesus Body on the Cross by shedding his Precious  Blood and ending with his death. For us, we should always remember the crucified Christ and that is the essence of our faith. 

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 8

“The Blood of Christ is His sacrifice applied to us, it enters the souls of the redeemed, it is the inexhaustible source of all heroism.” St. John the Pope XXIII.  

Matthew 23:35 (NJB): and so you will draw down on yourselves the blood of every upright person that has been shed on earth, from the blood of Abel the holy to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. Here, Jesus was telling Pharisees and Scribes about their behavior and attitudes towards the Prophets, as they got killed many of them in the last centuries before Christ. He is foreseeing his own condemnation which will lead him to death. He is referring to Abel and how he got killed by his own brother. He is saying it has happened from the beginning of the world and he end with how Zachariah son of Barachiah was dead. There was nothing left to say about the works of Jews especially the Scribes and Pharisees done against plan of God. They disobeyed the Words of God and they condemned His prophets and holy men. Same way they Condemned Jesus Christ and done the condemnation of blaspheming God! So Jews made Jesus crucified. But his crucifixion brought us salvation. 

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 7

 

“Thou hast redeemed us, O Lord, in Thy blood, out of every tribe and tongue, and people, and nation, and hast made us to our God a kingdom.” - Introit from the Feast of Precious Blood in Holy Mass

1 Peter 1:18–19 (NJB): For you know that the price of your ransom from the futile way of life handed down from your ancestors was paid, not in anything perishable like silver or gold,19 but in precious blood as of a blameless and spotless lamb, Christ. See Lord has paid a highest ransom to save us by purchasing to give us His inheritance of the Kingdom of God. He paid the price, which we cannot make the value because that is His own Precious Blood which He poured out,  from His own Heart. How was the he poured the Blood which was coming from the Heart of blameless and spotless Lamb, by sacrificing His own body on the Cross in Calvary. He poured His own Blood as a libation and went into the abyss to save the souls in purgatory, from time of Noah. His Body was incorruptible. He has risen from the dead after His invaluable mission of three days. 

Lord, you have saved us from the slavery of sins. You are our redeemer and savior, help us reach in eternity. 

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 6

 

July is the month of the Precious Blood: "Let us fix our gaze on the Blood of Christ and realize how truly precious It is, seeing that it was poured out for our salvation and brought the grace of conversion to the whole world" (Pope St Clement I, c.96AD)

1 Corinthians 10:16 (NJB): The blessing-cup, which we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ; and the loaf of bread which we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ? When we attend Holy Mass and the priest bless the cup with the wine and after the consecration the wine becomes Blood of Christ which Jesus poured out for us and for many with his love and mercy. The bread which priest bless consecrated becomes the Body of Christ. The Blood and Body became Divine and that calls the transubstantiation and we believe the presence of Jesus, Son of God and the true substance to give us faith and God made it for our salvation. 

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 5

 

‘Precious Blood, ocean of divine mercy: Flow upon us! Precious Blood, most pure offering: Procure us every grace! Precious Blood, hope and refuge of sinners: Atone for us! Precious Blood, delight of holy souls: Draw us! Amen

Lord, Your Blood is precious to us to cleanse us and purify us!

"You were bought with a great price. You were purchased with the precious blood of Jesus and made His own. So then, honor and glorify God with your body." (1 Corinthians 6:20)Teach me Lord, how to glorify you in my body, which is very weak and sinful. Lord, but I hope and trust in You, Your everlasting love, which has no measure and it is infinite. Lord, You have given the greatest price, the Precious Blood to gain us or embrace us and make everyone of Your own. 

Lord, we honor You, we glorify You among all the nations. Lord, let Your everlasting love never leave us, while we are living in this contemporary world.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 4

“This Blood that but one drop of has the power to win all the world forgiveness of its world of sin.” - St. Thomas Aquinas

2 Chronicles 29:22 (NJB): So they slaughtered the bulls and the priests took the blood and sprinkled it over the altar. They then slaughtered the rams and sprinkled the blood over the altar; and they slaughtered the lambs and sprinkled the blood over the altar. Jesus shed his own Blood to establish the Ever Lasting Covenant, which was Heavenly Father’s plan according to His promises to His Prophets. If the blood of the bulls, rams and lambs can purify the alters where a temple is having sacrifices. The Blood Jesus can purify all the alters on all the earth and beyond. Jesus created New Alters by shedding his own blood, the one and only sacrifice of victim on the Cross in Calvary. He has sanctified all the alters of whole world, wherever the Sacrifice of Mass is available. Let us glorify our Lord for His infinite Mercy on all of us. 

Jesus, your Blood can purify me and cleanse me to keep me away from all the temptations of evil.

My Lord and my God 

Happy Feast of St Thomas the Apostel to all

John 20:25–27 (NJB): So the other disciples said to him, ‘We have seen the Lord,’ but he answered, ‘Unless I can see the holes that the nails made in his hands and can put my finger into the holes they made, and unless I can put my hand into his side, I refuse to believe.’ 26 Eight days later the disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them. The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you,’ he said. 27 Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Do not be unbelieving any more but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’ 

In the month of July, the Feast of St Thomas has a coincidence for the feast. St Thomas has a doubt about the resurrection of Jesus. Jesus appeared to him and told him to put the finger on his hands and on his side. The wound on his side where the soldier pierced, which was gone deep into his heart and Blood and water was came through the wounds. Jesus shed his Blood on the Cross, this was with the Blood he established the New Covenant. St Thomas realized the truth while he put his finger into his side. He said my Lord and my God!
