Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 30

They have washed their robes white again in the Blood of the Lamb

Revelation 7:13–15 (NJB): One of the elders then spoke and asked me, ‘Who are these people, dressed in white robes, and where have they come from?’ 14 I answered him, ‘You can tell me, sir.’ Then he said, ‘These are the people who have been through the great trial; they have washed their robes white again in the blood of the Lamb. 15 That is why they are standing in front of God’s throne and serving him day and night in his sanctuary; and the One who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.

During the Judgement time in vision to St John, an elder asked him who is those worn the white gowns. They are people who have martyred for the glory of God. They have shed their blood like their Master has shed his Blood. They have experienced great trial from rulers of this world and they resist and never compromised and stand strong to witness Jesus. They imitated Christ in their life and never afraid to give their life to Christ Jesus. In Heaven they have the place in front of God’s throne for serve him day and night. God have given the right place for them to be with Him under His protection and giving them His tent to live in His presence.

Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, Day 29

Jesus was known by the name, The Word of God

9:13 (NJB): 13 his cloak was soaked in blood. He is known by the name, The Word of God.

Jesus filled the Chalice with his Blood for us to drink and it will lead us to Eternal Salvation. How the cloak of Jesus was soaked in Blood, he was persecuted, tortured and beaten by the whip. The Jews put the Crown of thorns on his head, the Blood was oozing out from the head of Jesus. He was scourged very badly and the Blood was spilled from his body. The whip which was used to beat him were having lead tipped balls and having thorns on it. How badly his flesh was crushed it was lead him almost to death. He could not get any relief from the suffering but he bear silently his all sufferings. Then at last he was crucified on the Cross on Calvary and the last drops of the Blood he poured on for our salvation. His name is Word of God, As St John says the Word was with God, and Word was God.

Precious Blood of Jesus Christ, Day 28

The photo taken from the Holy Mass celebrated on Precious Blood of Jesus in the Basilica of the Agony in Jerusalem in the Garden of Gethsemane by the Custos of Holy Land. The place is the stone where Jesu’s blood poured out.

Colossians 1:18–20 (NJB): and he is the Head of the Body, that is, the Church. He is the Beginning, the first-born from the dead, so that he should be supreme in every way; 19 because God wanted all fullness to be found in him 20 and through him to reconcile all things to him, everything in heaven and everything on earth, by making peace through his death on the cross.

Jesus is the Head of the Body, the mystical Body of the Church of Christ Jesus. He is the beginning and he is Alpha and Omega, Genesis 1:1 (NJB): In the beginning God created heaven and earth. St John the Apostle and Evangelist said Jesus is the Word of God and he was from the beginning, John 1:1 (NJB): In the beginning was the Word: the Word was with God and the Word was God. God already put all the goodness in him. Without Jesus there is no fullness of God’s creation. Through Jesus, God wants everything reconcile to Him, everything in heaven and everything on earth. God brought the peace on earth by giving the sacrifice of His only begotten Son. Lord your love towards us revealed by shedding your Blood to become the real and eternal food the Body and Blood. It was not like Manna You have given to Israelites in the desert. But Lord, You gave this eternal food to make our mind, heart and body to cleansed and purified eternally by your Precious Blood and Body and there is no other gift from God matching to this Heavenly Gift, Your Body and Blood.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 27

Jesus bore all the humiliation and accepted the death on the Cross

Hebrews 13:11–13 (NJB): The bodies of the animals whose blood is taken into the sanctuary by the high priest for the rite of expiation are burnt outside the camp,   12 and so Jesus too suffered outside the gate to sanctify the people with his own blood. 13 Let us go to him, then, outside the camp, and bear his humiliation.

In the ancient time before Christ, the priest the blood of the animals into the sanctuary to perform the rite of expiation of the sins and burned outside the camp. Same way Jesus also suffered crucified ourtside the gate to sanctify the people with his own blood. He has given the highest price to give us the salvation. He was humiliated till his death on the Cross, and those it was considered shame to die on the Cross. But he glorified the crucifixion and the Cross he died for our salvation. We doesn’t required to shame for proclaim the crucified Christ. St Paul said: I was with you was knowledge of Jesus, and of him as the crucified Christ. 1 Corinthians 2:2 (NJB).

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 26

Jesus purifying Blood will qualify us live in his presence

Hebrews 12:23–24 (NJB): You have come to God himself, the supreme Judge, and to the spirits of the upright who have been made perfect; 24 and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to purifying blood which pleads more insistently than Abel’s.

How blessed we are, as God called us to be with Him. We are in Heaven to meet the Supreme Judge. There are many other along with the Spirits of upright people, the communion of saints and Jesus Christ the mediator who have established the new covenant. How Jesus made this New Covenant by his own Blood which is precious than Abel’s. The saints are perfect to live in the presence of God. They are blameless and they called first born for Jesus Christ, the throne of grace.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 25

Ephesians 1:7 (NJB): In whom, through his blood, we gain our freedom, the forgiveness of our sins. Such is the richness of the grace . The freedom we gain in Jesus is through His Precious Blood. Jesus shed His Blood for the forgiveness of our sins. He shows his richness of his grace by shedding His own Blood which is very precious. The sacrifice of Jesus life on the Cross is an invaluable gift for all the humanity which only God can give and none else. We should examine ourselves, are we giving enough respect and honor to Jesus? for this eternal gift, which is immeasurable and priceless.

Jesus had uncountable wounds on his body and most of the water and blood in his body was poured out as a libation for our sins.

Prayer to the Shoulder Wound of Jesus

It is related in the annals of Clairvaux that St. Bernard asked Our Lord which was His greatest unrecorded suffering and Our Lord answered:

“I had on My Shoulder, while I bore My Cross on the Way of Sorrows, a grievous Wound, which was more painful than the others and which is not recorded by men. Honor this Wound with thy devotion and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through Its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this Wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins and will no longer remember their mortal sins.” Pope Eugenius III, at the earnest request of St. Bernard, has granted three thousand years Indulgence to all who with a contrite heart, recite the Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary 3 times, in honor of the Wound on the Shoulder of Our Blessed Redeemer.

This prayer is not meant to replace confession

Lord, we thank you for your invaluable gift of your grace by libation of your Precious Blood.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 24

(Mother Mary and St Mary Magdalene wipe the Blood of Jesus from the street, while Jesus on the way to Calvary(Source the Passion of Christ))

Jesus said, this cup is the New Covenant in my Blood.

1 Corinthians 11:23–27 (NJB): 23 For the tradition I received from the Lord and also handed on to you is that on the night he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread, 24 and after he had given thanks, he broke it, and he said, ‘This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ 25 And in the same way, with the cup after supper, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Whenever you drink it, do this as a memorial of me.’ 26 Whenever you eat this bread, then, and drink this cup, you are proclaiming the Lord’s death until he comes. 27 Therefore anyone who eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily is answerable for the body and blood of the Lord.

St Paul explained here about the Eucharist, which Jesus established the Everlasting Eternal Covenant, The Eucharist which we received from the Lord. We all believe in this tradition and so we attend the Holy Mass. We do this in the  remembrance of Jesus’s death and resurrection. He has given his Body to eat and to drink his Blood. Through his Blood he established the New Everlasting Covenant in eternity. So, whenever we take part in the Holy Mass, while receiving the Holy Communion, examine ourselves and about our unworthiness. We should reconcile with the Lord before consuming him, otherwise we should be answerable for the Body and Blood of Jesus our Lord!
