Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 23

Lord Jesus, we humbly implore you to protect us by your Precious Blood,

Matthew 27:24–26 (NJB): So he took some water, washed his hands in front of the crowd and said, ‘I am innocent of this man’s blood. It is your concern.’ 25 And the people, every one of them, shouted back, ‘Let his blood be on us and on our children!’ 26 Then he released Barabbas for them. After having Jesus scourged he handed him over to be crucified.

When Pilate was about to pronounce his decision on Jesus, he considered not giving him the death penalty. Pilate told the Jews that he was not guilty of Jesus' blood.  But the Jews were not ready to release Jesus; instead, they wanted to kill him and crucify him. They all yelled, "Let the Blood of Jesus be on us and on our children!" The Jews were unwilling to release Jesus the innocent, yet Jesus was regarded as a criminal. The Jews were responsible for Jesus' crucifixion, and he shed his Precious Blood for all humanity in order to rescue us unconditionally. The ultimate reality is that God is crucified when He is born in the flesh of His only Son.

Lord Jesus, we humbly implore you to protect us by your Precious Blood, free us from all kind of malices and wickedness of this world.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 22

Jesus poured out the Blood and Water from his heart, his love, mercy and grace

John 19:34–37 (NJB): one of the soldiers pierced his side with a lance; and immediately there came out blood and water. 35 This is the evidence of one who saw it—true evidence, and he knows that what he says is true—and he gives it so that you may believe as well. 36 Because all this happened to fulfil the words of scripture: Not one bone of his will be broken; 37 and again, in another place scripture says: They will look to the one whom they have pierced.

After the crucifixion the Jews asked Pilate to break the legs of Jesus and remove his body from the Cross. This was their custom, the bodies could not hang on the cross on the Sabbath. When they came to Jesus they found Jesus was dead. They found him dead so they did not broke his leg. One of the soldier pierced his side with a lance and the blood and water has came out from his side. The mercy and graces has poured from the heart of Jesus to cleanse and purify us and entire humanity of past, present and future till eternity. Jesus can still keep his life in his body, even he is dead, 1 John 1:7 (NJB): But if we live in light, as he is in light, we have a share in another’s life, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.  Br says: “the life is always existing in the blood, so in the Blood of Jesus has life.” St John here says he is the witness of this event and the prophecy of Zachariah has fulfilled here, “They will mourn for the one whom they pierced as though for an only child and weep for him as people weep for a first born child”Zechariah 12:10

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 20

Jesus was rejected and neglected by his own people, he suffered and shed his Precious Blood for all of us.

Isaiah 50:5–6 (NJB): . 6 I have offered my back to those who struck me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; I have not turned my face away from insult and spitting. Jesus has never turned his back while the Roman soldiers were torturing him. They struck on his back very harshly and can see the bones on his back through his flesh.  He was keeping silent while he was bearing all these persecutions and suffering. They picked  his beard and the blood was coming out. Jesus was rejected by his own disciples and even his own relatives. The Jews and Romans were hitting him severely. They were insulting him by spitting on him all the way to Calvary for his Crucifixion. While on the way to Calvary, they were insulting him, abusing him with all calumnies. In the above picture we can see how his body bruised and how the blood was bleeding from his wounds. He was silent in all these suffering, because all of us.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 19

God appointed Jesus His only son as a scarifice of reconcilliation

Romans 3:25 (NJB): God appointed him as a sacrifice for reconciliation, through faith, by the shedding of his blood, and so showed his justness; first for the past, when sins went unpunished because he held his hand. God appointed Jesus Christ His only Son as a sacrifice of reconciliation. Through the faith by shedding the Precious Blood of Jesus,  God the Father in Heaven  has shown His justice. In the past God was reluctant to punish Israel for their sin, and many times He withdrawn His hand from them. He had pity on them, not according the the way of their worldly life. God was displeased with the sacrifice of the animals and pouring or sprinkling the blood on the Alter and in the Sanctuary.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 18

The blood of Sacrificial Victim make the expiation of sins

Exodus 30:10 (NJB): Once a year, Aaron will perform the rite of expiation on the horns of the altar; once a year, on the Day of Expiation, with the blood of the sacrifice for sin, he will make expiation for himself, for all your generations to come. It is especially holy for Yahweh.’ In ancient Israel, the priests perform the sacrifice of animals on the altar for remission of the sins of  Israelites. The priest himslef do the remission of sins of the sacrifice of sin. These all sacrifices symbolising the sacrifice of one and only sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God’s only Son. Jesus has heared  the voice of God the Father of the fulfilment of His wish to make Jesus for the sacrifice of sin eternally. It was the fulfilment of the prophecy of Isiah. In Isaiah 6:8 (NJB): I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I, send me.’ Jesus tells his Father, ‘Here I am send me to fulfill Your mission’ Jesus is the only one can be the eternal sacrifice for the salvation of all the humanity

Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 17

Every purification takes place by means of blood, how precious it will be the Blood of Unblemished Lamb, Jesus Christ!

Hebrews 9:22 (NJB): In fact, according to the Law, practically every purification takes place by means of blood; and if there is no shedding of blood, there is no remission. There is no remission of sin without shedding blood. Lord has given his own flesh as sacrifice. Every purification takes place by means of blood and how precious is Blood of the Unblemished Lamb, Jesus Christ. Jesus shed his own Blood on the Cross in Calvary. In the Old Testament Yahweh, our Lord was very angry on Israelites for their sacrifices of animals which they offered for remission of sins. Isaiah 1:11 (NJB): What are your endless sacrifices to me?’ says Yahweh. ‘I am sick of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of calves. I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. He says He is not taking any pleasure in such kind of sacrifices. This kind of sacrifices has no eternal value. God the Father was saying about the sacrifice of His own Son in place of any other sacrifices. The only sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross is the oblation of the Eternal Salvation which was pleased by Heavenly Father!

The Precious Blood of Jesus, Day 16

Jesus in his anguish prayed for all of us earnestly in the Garden of Gethsemane

Luke 22:44 (NJB): In his anguish he prayed even more earnestly, and his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood. Jesus was ready to shed his Blood by his own will, which was the plan of Heavenly Father. The agony of passion has become very severe in the Heart of Jesus. That is the reason the blood was coming from his body through the sweat. He was in agony because of the lukewarm hearts of all of us. We should pray earnestly for the souls as Jesus did. The saints are doing the same in their contemplation to pray for the souls. There are many living saints, those are praying earnestly and unknowingly by fulfilling the will of our Lord. The saints also like to become martyrs to imitate Christ in their life. Their obedience with full commitment to show their love towards Jesus Christ  the Master. Jesus Christ became their inspiration. The blood of martyrs gave life in Christ to many. The saints are the flowers in the Heavenly garden of our Lord Jesus Christ.
