Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus Part VIII

Jesus Son of God, curifiied and died on the Cross by shedding His Blood

Ezekiel 43:18 (NJB): He said to me, ‘Son of man, the Lord Yahweh says this, “As regards the altar, this is how things must be done when it has been built for the sacrifice of the burnt offering and for the pouring of blood. Jesus constructed Altars for his sacrifice, first the Cross on Calvary, and then after his death and resurrection, we built Altars in the world's most beautiful Catholic Churches to commemorate his sacrifice at all times. We shall never forget his self-sacrifice. The Altar resembles where his Crucifix is present. The priests celebrate the Mass and consecrate the bread and wine while facing the crucifix, which represents Jesus' body sacrifice on the Cross by bleeding his Precious Blood and ultimately dying. For us, remembering the crucified Christ is the essence of our faith.

Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus,

Part VII

“The Blood of Christ is His sacrifice applied to us, it enters the souls of the redeemed, it is the inexhaustible source of all heroism.” St. John the Pope XXIII.

Matthew 23:34–35 (NJB): This is why—look—I am sending you prophets and wise men and scribes; some you will slaughter and crucify, some you will scourge in your synagogues and hunt from town to town; 35 and so you will draw down on yourselves the blood of every upright person that has been shed on earth, from the blood of Abel the holy to the blood of Zechariah son of Barachiah whom you murdered between the sanctuary and the altar. Jesus was warning the Pharisees and Scribes about their behavior and attitudes toward the Prophets, as many of them were slaughtered in the years leading up to Christ. He foresees his own condemnation, which will lead to death. He is referring to Abel and how he was slaughtered by his own brother. He claims that has happened since the beginning of the world and concludes by mentioning Zachariah, son of Barachiah, who died. There was nothing left to say concerning the actions of Jews, particularly the Scribes and Pharisees, which went against God's design. They violated God's Words, condemning and executing His prophets and holy people.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

The devotion to the Precious Blood is the devotion which unveils the physical realities of the Sacred Heart. The devotion to the Sacred Heart is the figurative expression of the qualities, dispositions, and genius of the Precious Blood – only that the figure is itself a living and adorable reality.”  ~Father Frederick William Faber, The Precious Blood (1860)

Precious Blood of Jesus, Part VI

“Thou hast redeemed us, O Lord, in Thy blood, out of every tribe and tongue, and people, and nation, and hast made us to our God a kingdom.” - Introit from Feast of Precious Blood in Holy Mass

Lord, you have saved us from the slavery of sins by Your Precious blood.

1 Peter 1:18–19 (NJB): For you know that the price of your ransom from the futile way of life handed down from your ancestors was paid, not in anything perishable like silver or gold,19 but in precious blood as of a blameless and spotless lamb, Christ. See The Lord paid the highest payment to save us by purchasing for us His inheritance in the Kingdom of God. He paid a precious price for our salvation, which we cannot value: His own Precious Blood, poured out from His own Body and His Heart. The Old Testament and Prophets have indicated how He will shed his blood: Isaiah 50:6 (NJB): I have offered my back to those who struck me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; I have not turned my face away from insult and spitting. The soldiers has pierced his hands and legs as written in, Psalm 22:16–17 (NJB): A pack of dogs surrounds me, a gang of villains closing in on me as if to hack off my hands and my feet. 17 I can count every one of my bones.  A blameless and spotless Lamb, by sacrificing His own body on the Cross in Calvary. Isaiah 53:5 (NJB): 5 whereas he was being wounded for our rebellions, crushed because of our guilt; the punishment reconciling us fell on him, and we have been healed by his bruises. He poured His own Blood as a libation and went into the abyss to save the souls in purgatory, from time of Noah. Isaiah 53:10 (NJB): It was Yahweh’s good pleasure to crush him with pain; if he gives his life as a sin offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his life, and through him Yahweh’s good pleasure will be done. Heavenly Father was happy by the sacrifice of His own Son, so He can see the offspring of Jesus as he gave his life for many abundantly. His Body was incorruptible and Apostles and many other saints has seen his risen wounded body He has risen from the dead after His invaluable mission of three days in Sheol to save the souls since the time of Noah. 1 Peter 3:18–19 (NJB): Christ himself died once and for all for sins, the upright for the sake of the guilty, to lead us to God. In the body he was put to death, in the spirit he was raised to life, 19 and, in the spirit, he went to preach to the spirits in prison

The Light and Darkness

Part 50

The False Prophets

Lord, let us proclaim the unadulterated Word of God, which is truth and Life.

2 Peter 2:1–2 (NJB): As there were false prophets in the past history of our people, so you too will have your false teachers, who will insinuate their own disruptive views and, by disowning the Lord who bought them freedom, will bring upon themselves speedy destruction. 2 Many will copy their debauched behaviour, and the Way of Truth will be brought into disrepute on their account. Many teachers or gurus will approach us and teach us about different elements of our daily lives. We've learned that Jesus is the Way and Truth, so we should proceed with caution if they disturb us. They may come from various backgrounds and hold distinct spiritual views. We may meet them at a social gathering, a spiritual gathering, or even personally. We must distinguish them based on their own words. When we listen to their teachings rather than those of the Catholic Church and the Charism we follow, we are ignoring the grace we received from Jesus. Then we will not be benefited in both ways and will be rejected by the Holy Spirit.

St Peter explains to us how our knowledge of God dries us: 2 Peter 2:17–18 (NJB): 17 People like this are dried-up springs, fogs swirling in the wind, and the gloom of darkness is stored up for them. 18 With their high-sounding but empty talk they tempt back people who have scarcely escaped from those who live in error, by playing on the disordered desires of their human nature and by debaucheries. Here St Peter is explaining how our springs of Living Water dries up. John 4:14 (NJB): but no one who drinks the water that I shall give will ever be thirsty again: the water that I shall give will become a spring of water within, welling up for eternal life. This is the spring where they will dry up in our spiritual lives. So these teachers will cloud our minds with their false teachings to contradict our true teachings that we received from our spiritual father, Br Victor, and through Brothers. Their teachings are hollow words; they may not have knowledge of the Scriptures, and the unadulterated Word of God. 2 Corinthians 2:17 (NJB): 17 At least we do not adulterate the word of God, as so many do, but it is in all purity, as envoys of God and in God’s presence, that we speak in Christ. The true believers will worship in Spirit and Truth (Word of God) John 6:63 (NJB): It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh has nothing to offer. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life.

Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus

Part V

July is the month of the Precious Blood:

"Let us fix our gaze on the Blood of Christ and realize how truly precious It is, seeing that it was poured out for our salvation and brought the grace of conversion to the whole world" (Pope St Clement I, c.96AD)

1 Corinthians 10:16 (NJB): The blessing-cup, which we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ; and the loaf of bread which we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ? When we attend Holy Mass, the priest blesses the cup with wine, then following the consecration, the wine becomes the Blood of Christ, which he poured out for us in love and mercy. The bread that the priest blesses and consecrates becomes the Body of Christ. The Blood and Body became Divine, which is known as transubstantiation, and we believe in the presence of Jesus, the Son of God, the true substance that gave us faith and was made for our salvation.

Ezekiel 45:19 (NJB): The priest must take blood from the sacrifice for sin and put it on the doorposts of the Temple, on the four corners of the altar plinth and on the doorposts of the gates of the inner court. Jesus' Blood is most potent in driving Satan away from us. Many years ago, our parish priest, Fr Vincent, served the Body and Blood of Christ to all the faithful on Sundays. Why he was contributing this way, I later realized, was because the church was being built, and he had been doing the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament every morning for three years until the structure was finished. His purpose was that by offering the Eucharist with the Blood of Christ, the purifying process and unity among them would be accomplished for every faithful who attended Sunday Mass. Furthermore, because our parish is small and the majority of the parishioners are outsiders, this method of devotion to the Eucharist resulted in a massive church and a flood of funds. With the remaining funds, the church began some charitable work for poor students who were unable to complete their studies and for vocations. During the priest's tenure, three vocations emerged: one became a priest, and three are currently enrolled in a seminary. So the Precious Blood is so potent that it provides salvation and unity.
