The Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XIX

Jesus was rejected and neglected by his own people, he suffered and shed his Precious Blood for all of us.

Isaiah 50:5–6 (NJB): . 6 I have offered my back to those who struck me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; I have not turned my face away from insult and spitting. Jesus never turned his back on the Roman soldiers who were torturing him. He remained mute while enduring all of these persecutions and hardship. They picked his beard, and blood poured out. Jesus was rejected by both his disciples and his relatives. On his route to Calvary for his crucifixion, Jews and Romans were beating and spitting at Jesus. They insulted him and slandered him on their journey to Calvary. In the image above, we can see how his body was bruised and how blood was flowing from his injuries. He was silent in all these sufferings to redeem us from all our sins. Ephesians 1:7 (NJB): in whom, through his blood, we gain our freedom, the forgiveness of our sins. Such is the richness of the grace. We receive freedom in Jesus through His Precious Blood. Jesus gave His blood to pardon our sins. He demonstrates the riches of His grace by spilling His own Blood, which is extremely valuable. The sacrifice of Jesus' life on the Cross is a precious gift to all humanity, which only God can provide. We should check ourselves: are we showing enough respect and honor to Jesus? for this eternal and priceless gift.

Lord, we thank you for your incomparable gift of grace through the libation of your Precious Blood.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XVIII

God appointed Jesus His only Son as a scarifice of reconcilliation

Romans 3:25 (NJB): God appointed him as a sacrifice for reconciliation, through faith, by the shedding of his blood, and so showed his justness; first for the past, when sins went unpunished because he held his hand. God appointed Jesus Christ, His only Son, as a sacrifice for reconciliation. God the Father in Heaven has demonstrated His love for God's people and all of humanity through faith in Jesus' Precious Blood. In the past, God was hesitant to chastise Israel for their wrongdoing, and He frequently withdrew His hand. He took pity on them, contrary to their worldly ways. God was unhappy with the animal sacrifices and the pouring or sprinkling of blood on the Alter and Sanctuary. His justice was demonstrated to sinners in the past by adopting them as sons and daughters through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

St Bridget of Sweden meditating on the wounds of Jesus covered from the head to foot. She prayed fervently and invoke the Precious Blood of Jesus and ask Jesus to inscribe all the wounds upon her heart.

Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XVII

The blood of Jesus, the Sacrificial Victim makes the expiation of sins

Exodus 30:10 (NJB): Once a year, Aaron will perform the rite of expiation on the horns of the altar; once a year, on the Day of Expiation, with the blood of the sacrifice for sin, he will make expiation for himself, for all your generations to come. It is especially holy for Yahweh.’ In ancient Israel, priests sacrificed animals on the altar for the remission of Israelites' sins. The priest himself performs the remission of sins by sin offering. All of these sacrifices represent the single sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God's only Son. Jesus had heard God the Father's voice confirming the fulfillment of His wish to make Jesus the eternal sacrifice for sin. It was fulfillment of the prophesy of Isiah. In Isaiah 6:8 (NJB): I then heard the voice of the Lord saying: ‘Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I, send me.’ Jesus tells his Father, ‘Here I am send me to fulfill Your mission’

The Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XVI

Every purification takes place by means of blood, how precious will be the Blood of Unblemished Jesus Christ

Hebrews 9:22 (NJB): In fact, according to the Law, practically every purification takes place by means of blood; and if there is no shedding of blood, there is no remission. Without shedding blood, there is no remission of sin. Lord has offered his own flesh as a sacrifice. Every purification involves blood, and how precious is the Blood of the Unblemished Lamb, Jesus Christ. Jesus shed his own blood on the cross at Calvary. In the Old Testament, Yahweh our Lord was furious with the Israelites for offering animal sacrifices for the remission of sins. Isaiah 1:11 (NJB): What are your endless sacrifices to me?’ says Yahweh. ‘I am sick of burnt offerings of rams and the fat of calves. I take no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats. He says He is not taking any pleasure in such kind of sacrifices. God doesn’t see any eternal value on these sacrifices.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

The Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XV

Jesus in his anguish prayed earnestly, for all of us in the Garden of Gethsamane

Luke 22:44 (NJB): In his anguish he prayed even more earnestly, and his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood. Jesus was willing to spill his blood on his own volition, as was the purpose of the Heavenly Father. The agony of passion has intensified in Jesus' heart. That is why the blood was dripping from his body through the sweat. We should pray earnestly for souls, just as Jesus did. The saints are doing the same thing in their contemplation, praying for the souls. Many live saints are praying sincerely, and unwittingly, to fulfill our Lord's purpose. Saints also like becoming martyrs in order to resemble Christ in their lives. They performed this deed with full commitment to convey their love for Christ, their master and inspiration. Many people find life in Christ via the blood of martyrs. The saints are the flowers in the Heavenly Garden of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XIV

The Insttiution of the Eucharist, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Luke 22:19–20 (NJB): Then he took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, ‘This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ 20 He did the same with the cup after supper, and said, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood poured out for you.  Jesus and his apostles gathered in the Upper Room to share their Passover supper. Jesus is now establishing the Eucharist with his own words; raising the bread, he says, "This is my body," and lifting the cup of wine, he says, "This is my blood, poured out for you." Jesus established the New Covenant by spilling his own blood on the cross at Calvary. Jesus sat down with the Apostles to share the Passover Meal, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Jesus was going to sacrifice his body on the Cross so that they could have eternal life.  Before his passion and death, he would like to impart this most pure sacred mystery to them 'the Everlasting Eternal Covenant'. This was our Heavenly Father’s plan for the salvation of all souls.

The Precious Blood of Jesus

Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XIII

Anyone who eat my Body and drink my Blood has eternal life

John 6:54–56 (NJB): Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise that person up on the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in that person.

Jesus discloses the mystery of the Eucharist. He declares that whomever eats his flesh and drinks his blood will have eternal life. Chapter 6 of the Gospel of John contains the Eucharistic discourse, in which he discloses the mystery of his Body and Blood. Jesus became the only sacrifice for our salivation. God established the everlasting covenant, which was revealed to His prophets and sealed by the Blood of Jesus. He founded the Eucharist, with the Body and Blood serving as eternal aliment. Those who eat his Body and drink his Blood shall live eternally. Jesus says that when we eat his Body and drink his Blood, we live in Him, and He lives in that person forever. Jn 6: 53 (NJB)Jesus replied to them: In all truth I tell you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Jesus states that if we don't consume His flesh and blood, we won't have life. So Jesus offers us life when we eat and drink His Body and Blood with reverence and Godly repentance.
