Precious Blood of Jesus, Part XIX
Jesus was rejected and neglected by his own people, he suffered and shed his Precious Blood for all of us.
Isaiah 50:5–6 (NJB): . 6 I have offered my back to those who struck me, my cheeks to those who plucked my beard; I have not turned my face away from insult and spitting. Jesus never turned his back on the Roman soldiers who were torturing him. He remained mute while enduring all of these persecutions and hardship. They picked his beard, and blood poured out. Jesus was rejected by both his disciples and his relatives. On his route to Calvary for his crucifixion, Jews and Romans were beating and spitting at Jesus. They insulted him and slandered him on their journey to Calvary. In the image above, we can see how his body was bruised and how blood was flowing from his injuries. He was silent in all these sufferings to redeem us from all our sins. Ephesians 1:7 (NJB): in whom, through his blood, we gain our freedom, the forgiveness of our sins. Such is the richness of the grace. We receive freedom in Jesus through His Precious Blood. Jesus gave His blood to pardon our sins. He demonstrates the riches of His grace by spilling His own Blood, which is extremely valuable. The sacrifice of Jesus' life on the Cross is a precious gift to all humanity, which only God can provide. We should check ourselves: are we showing enough respect and honor to Jesus? for this eternal and priceless gift.
Lord, we thank you for your incomparable gift of grace through the libation of your Precious Blood.
