Part IX
Jesus Christ dispels the spiritual darkness and lead us to his Light
'..God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. If we say that we share in God’s life while we are living in darkness, we are lying, because we are not living in the truth.’ 1Jon.1:5-6. I felt the darkness was overpowering me by making my mind and body very weak to lead in a indisciplined way in my daily spiritual commitments. The evil always try to capture a soul by giving all kind of evil thoughts and will be thrown into the prison of the darkness. Why am I thrown into the prison of darkness, because of not obeying God’s commandments wholeheartedly? There will be no light to see the things as it is, everything seeng there will be horrible and fearful. When a soul feel the presence of Jesus Christ in her heart she will be in very vigilant and prudence in her prayer life, and there is no time for her to sleep in timidity.
There are two types of things in the world: good and evil. The good thing we must pursue is to remain in Jesus and the kingdom of God. The other is Satan's realm, sometimes known as the kingdom of darkness or evil. There is nothing in between to follow, but most of us are caught between the good and bad, compromising everything for the sake of this world's pleasure. We must select one of these two options. I thought it would be simple to follow Jesus' path, but I soon discovered that it is a narrow path, and whomever finds the way to the goal will be the most blessed. Will I be able to walk this narrow path if I give up all the world's pleasures? It is simple to follow the wicked ways, and there are many who do so. Our exquisite prayer to Jesus should be for the opening of our minds to realize the truth and light about God Himself, as our Lord did on the journey to Emmaus. Luke 24:44–45 (NJB): Then he told them, ‘This is what I meant when I said, while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses, in the Prophets and in the Psalms, was destined to be fulfilled.’ 45 He then opened their minds to understand the scriptures, It is difficult to identify or obtain someone who truly follows Christ and his Truth. They are hidden from ordinary or worldly people's gaze. The world cannot recognize or comprehend their virtues. The virtuous people will be as insignificant as a drop of water in an ocean. Br. Brilly once mentioned Mother Teresa's words in a talk: ‘I am like a drop of water in the ocean, but the ocean may less if the drop of water is not in the ocean.’ We should also be like a drop of water in the ocean. This is how humility enters our spiritual lives. When we humble ourselves in front of God, He will reveal our flaws and faults to us, and He will also grant us repentance. We shall not grasp faith, humility, love, peace, and joy in Christ unless we repent. We experience deep and ongoing conversion when we repent. Only then will we realize how miserable we are. Then we'll realize how important it is to pray in His presence. This is how we shall progress in our spiritual lives.
