Part VIII
When we love the world, we love the darkness, not the light of Jesus
God is talking to us by His own Word that how dreadful the darkness is? Nothing can give us the light; even the blazing Sun and stars cannot give us the light. Whenever I was in the darkness I could not experience the presence of Jesus and see the glory of God, because my mind was veiled and could not experience the light of Jesus. ‘If our gospel seems to be veiled at all, it is so to those who are on the way to destruction, the unbelievers whose minds have been blinded by the god of this world, so that they cannot see shining the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.’(2Cor. 4: 3-4) The desires of the eye and the desires of the world will darken the soul in blindness. Then who can give the light? Only Jesus can give the real light to enhance the soul. He is the real light and shine in the darkness, ‘..15 Do not love the world or what is in the world. If anyone does love the world, the love of the Father finds no place in him, 16 because everything there is in the world—disordered bodily desires, disordered desires of the eyes, pride in possession—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 And the world, with all its disordered desires, is passing away. But whoever does the will of God remains for ever.1Jn 1:15-17. We should not love the world and it’s having the tempting ways to do the things which is against the will of God. The eyes looking for beauty of this world will tempt us to do the sins, this deceive us to do lustful things, the adultery. The bodily desires are the most wretched things against the spiritual ways of life, the life in Christ is most precious and it will give us the freedom and will lead us to light and eternal truth.
