Jesus is the Lamb of God
Jesus is the Lamb of God, he has to be sacrificed not like the sacrifice of Abel. But God the Father decided to offer the greatest offering of His only Son to be sacrificed. John 1:29 (NJB): The next day, he saw Jesus coming towards him and said, ‘Look, there is the lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.
Why Heavenly Father chose Jesus His only Son to be sacrificed. Without shedding blood the remission of sin will not happened. But the sacrifices of animals will not valid for long time. But shedding the blood is Jesus is eternal. God established this sacrifice, the Eternal Everlasting Covenant. Then there is one and only living sacrifice for the remission of sin.
