Pray with one heart 

Acts 1:14 (NJB): With one heart all these joined constantly in prayer, together with some women, including Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. 

Pray with one heart with Jesus is very important. When we gather for prayer as community pray with one heart and mind. Once we pray with one heart and mind the Holy Spirit will give constancy in our prayers which is an essential factor in our spiritual life. In our personal prayer we should invite Mother Mary also to get the experience the presence of the Holy Spirit. This is what happen when we pray the Rosary in a devotional way. 

Lord, let our heart always seek your presence and give us your Spirit and make our heart like yours

Day 3, On June 3, 2022

Make the joy of Christ complete by being of a single, one in love, one in heart and one in mind

Philippians 2:1–5 (NJB): So if in Christ there is anything that will move you, any incentive in love, any fellowship in the Spirit, any warmth or sympathy—I appeal to you, 2 make my joy complete by being of a single mind, one in love, one in heart and one in mind. 3 Nothing is to be done out of jealousy or vanity; instead, out of humility of mind everyone should give preference to others, 4 everyone pursuing not selfish interests but those of others. 5 Make your own the mind of Christ Jesus.

Today in the talk Br Joemon was sharing this particular word of God to be one in heart with Christ Jesus. He said; we all Catholics venerate the image of Sacred heart, at least one image will be present in each of our houses. What uniting each one us even in our differences is the love of Jesus pouring form his heart. This month of June, of Sacred Heart reminding us to reflect and give our life to Christ

“Practicing devotion to the Sacred Heart of Christ means adoring that Heart which, after having loved us to the end, was pierced by a spear and from night on the Cross poured out blood and water, and inexhaustible source of new life.” —Benedict  XVI. 

Lord Jesus, we are unworthy to unite with your heart. But your only Thirst is uniting us with your heart.

Tune our heart to wisdom and understanding 

Pr 2: 1-5 My child, if you take my words to heart, if you set store by my commandments, 2 tuning your ear to wisdom, tuning your heart to understanding, 3 yes, if your plea is for clear perception, if you cry out for understanding, 4 if you look for it as though for silver, search for it as though for buried treasure, 5 then you will understand what the fear of Yahweh is, and discover the knowledge of God. This Word of God is very important and there are many instructions God is giving us like a father teaches his children. We should tune our ear to wisdom and tuning our hearts to understanding what God is telling us. Whenever we ask for something from God, it should be from a clear perception through the way God shows to us. There are many treasures hidden in the Kingdom of God which He prepared for each one of us. What we will ask God, like a beggar we should approach Him, for the knowledge and understanding to know Him. Then He will give us the knowledge of the fear of God. Apostle St Mathew has written in the Gospel about the buried treasure. Matthew 13:44 (NJB): The kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field which someone has found; he hides it again, goes off in his joy, sells everything he owns and buys the field. We have to strive for this treasure, hidden by God, but he will reveal to us, if we have the gentle, humble and contrite heart and tremble at God’s Word. 

Lord Jesus, give us the heart like yours to understand the wisdom, knowledge and understanding

Sacred Hear of Jesus 

June 1, 2024 

The month of Sacred Heart will start today. We Catholics are blessed with many seasons to pray and get the blessings 

Mt 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: they shall see God. 

How blessed a person will be if he of she is having a pure heart. The greatest blessing in our life is to know Jesus, and see the Son of God. Whenever we approach God with a humble and holy heart we see our Lord and we can converse with him face to face. When we see him our heart will rejoice and never worry about anything of this world but will strive for eternity.

Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary 

Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord

Luke 1:41–45 (NJB): Now it happened that as soon as Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the child leapt in her womb and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 She gave a loud cry and said, ‘Of all women you are the most blessed, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. 43 Why should I be honoured with a visit from the mother of my Lord? 44 Look, the moment your greeting reached my ears, the child in my womb leapt for joy. 45 Yes, blessed is she who believed that the promise made her by the Lord would be fulfilled.’ 

Even in her pregnancy Virgin Mary visited Elisabeth he cousin as she also been pregnant as per the message from Angel Gabriel. Whenever Mother Mary visit someone she goes with Holy Spirit by giving them the experience of God’s presence in their life. When the greeting of Mary heard, the child leapt in the womb of Elisabeth and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit comes we will come to know the truth. We will proclaim that Jesus is the Lord, Son of God. After receiving the Holy Spirit Eleisabeth proclaimed, why she was honoured by the visit of Mother of God. How beautiful it is. It was the same experience I had when Mother Mary came into my life and I got the real conversion to accept Catholic faith. Virgin Mary believed in the providence of God in her life, chosen her by Heavenely Father to bear a Son for Him. 

Today is the Feast of Visitation of Virgin Mary to the house of Elisabeth. Let us ask her intercession to teach us how to pray and to fill us with the grace to understand the mysteries of God which is beyond our human thinking. Lord we are are surrendering everything to you and make us united with you!!

 Chapter I 

   Lord, we pray to you to increase our faith as Apostles prayed to you. Lord, we are created by you to fulfill your mission on earth till we depart from this world to live in your eternity. Lord, I am an unworthy servant, have mercy on me, am a sinner. 

 

  We believe by faith that Jesus is Son of God and this is the ultimate foundation of Christianity and Catholic faith. This faith is the gift of our Lord through His mercy which poured upon us. Gabriel the Angel of God came to Mother Mary and proclaims the mystery, the birth of Jesus. ‘But the angel of God said to her ‘Mary, do not be afraid; you have won God’s favour. Look! You are to conceive in you womb and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of Most High.’ Lk.1: 31-32. Heavenly Father himself proclaims about Jesus; He is the Son of God. Jesus was born a man and as well as Godly divine nature.  That's why he is called Son of God. 

 

  God the Father Himslef declared that Jesus is His only Son. ‘And the Holy Spirit descended on him like in a physical form, like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “you are my Son; today have I fathered you.” Lk. 3: 22. We cannot neglect this factor, And through him only the salvation comes. This makes us separate from the other religions and other sects. Jesus is the stone which is rejected by many and he became the cornerstone, because by observing the salvation is not a mere thing to understand. The Holy Spirit will reveal these mysteries to those whom chosen by Jesus.  “This is stone which you builders, rejected but which has become the cornerstone. Only in him is there salvation; for all the names in the world given to men, this is the only one by which we can be saved.” Acts.4: 11-12. One who seek the faith; think by faith and live by faith; it will lead him to salvation. Faith is a gift from God, and we cannot question Him for anything. How God made known to whole humanity is only through His beloved Son. We have no ability to see God through our naked eyes. He brought His only begotten Son to reveal himself to us. Jesus is the One who is revealing about the Heavenly Father to us. How Jesus will reveal this to us, by making ourselves humble in front of God.
