The Passion of Christ

Passion of Christ Part I

We are dust, the dust shall we return(Sir 41:10)

  Today, we going to start the Lent in the universal church and it is the time for reconciliation with our Lord.The suffering of Jesus has started from the time of his birth. Joseph has tried very hard to get a place for his wife Mary to give birth of Baby Jesus.  Luke 2:7 (NJB): and she gave birth to a son, her first-born. She wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger because there was no room for them in the living-space. There was no room found for Mary to give birth to Jesus. Instead she laid Baby Jesus in a manger of the cattles.

   After the birth of Jesus the Holy Family was not free from suffering. They were left their home country and left for Egypt along with the Baby Jesus as they guided by the angel of the Lord to avoid his before the time fulfilled. Matthew 2:13–18 (NJB): After they had left, suddenly the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, ‘Get up, take the child and his mother with you, and escape into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, because Herod intends to search for the child and do away with him.’ 14 So Joseph got up and, taking the child and his mother with him, left that night for Egypt, 15 where he stayed until Herod was dead. This was to fulfil what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: I called my son out of Egypt.16 Herod was furious on realising that he had been fooled by the wise men, and in Bethlehem and its surrounding district he had all the male children killed who were two years old or less, reckoning by the date he had been careful to ask the wise men. 17 Then were fulfilled the words spoken through the prophet Jeremiah: 18 A voice is heard in Ramah, lamenting and weeping bitterly: it is Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted because they are no more. All the male infants in Israel and Palestine were killed by King Herod. Jesus was protected by God and sent him to a safe place in Egypt.

  Jesus lived with his parents, Mary and Joseph, until he began his public mission. He began his ministry by preaching, casting out evil, and healing the sick. He performed many miracles, yet the people did not believed in him. Jesus was greatly troubled as he realized his time to be crucified was approaching. He expresses this from his wounded heart: John 12:27 (NJB): Now my soul is troubled. What shall I say: Father, save me from this hour? But it is for this very reason that I have come to this hour. Jesus was waiting for this hour to become the sacrifice for all humanity.

Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, Mary Immaculate Conception

Our Lady of Lourdes, Immaculate Conception

Mary My Mother

Today is the feast day of Our Lady of Lourdes, also known as Mary Immaculate Conception. Everyone thinks about the feast when it touches the hearts of Mary's dedicated servants. When we do not know Mary, we are not true Christians. Once we know Jesus and comprehend the secrets of salvation, we shall learn about Mary, the Apostles, and the communion of saints. How beautiful it will be when all the angels and saints praise God in unison, Glory to God on High. Then we'll find serenity in Him. Jesus provides peace and joy to all generations.

Our lady told Bernadette Soubirous
“I am Immaculate”
She told Bernadette to “pray for sinners,
Kiss the earth as a sigh of penitence for sinners”

Like Jesus has born from Mary,
Lord made all should be born from her through the living and enduring Word of God
Mary never disobey the commandments of God
She was pondering each and every Word from His mouth

She is the book of God’s commandments, the Law that stands for ever;
Those who keep her shall live, those who desert her shall die.
Lord, let us trurn back, like Jacob, seized her, in her radiance make our way to light:
Do not yield your glory to another, your privilege to a people not your own.
Israel, blessed are we: what pleases God has been revealed to us.

In the holy tent she ministered before him and she became established in Zion.
In the beloved city he has given me rest, and in Jerusalem I wield my authority
I have taken root In a privileged people, in the Lord’s property, in His inheritance.
Mother you were given all the wealth of world to glorify God's name.

Mother, your guarantee is the Most High.
Lord in his register of peoples will note against each, ‘Born there’,
All the princes no less than native-born;
All the faithful make their home in you.

Many recent generations have seen the day and peopled the earth in their turn,
The way of knowledge they have not found;
They have not recognised the paths she treads.
Nor have their children had any grasp of her, remaining far from her way.
Even many Sects of Christians still not knowing her, our Mother
The Mother of our Lord, they misjudge her and blaspheming her

I asked Lord, how the churches given the name Mary were more glorious than any other churches in this world.
My Heavenly Father has pleased in her of my birth as a wonderful mission by her.
He has pleased in Mary as she was with me in His missions,
In my death and in my resurrection.
"My earthly dwelling place was my Mother; Mary's womb
And I finished the earthly mission with her till I shed the last drop of blood.
Her perseverance in the suffering gave me the strength to overcome all pains.”
That is why the churches; those were given her name are more glorious
Than any other temples of God,
Because her womb was my first earthly temple;
Which God has chosen for His Trinity as a Living Ark of the Covenant".

Seeing his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing near her,
Jesus said to his mother, and telling ‘Woman, this is your son.’
Then to the disciple and also telling me as well he said, ‘This is your mother.’
How blessed are we to have Mother Mary as our own mother

Lord, I receive her and taking her to my home forever

The Daily Word of God

Eat the flesh of Jesus and drink his blood to live in eternity

John 6:54–56 (NJB): Anyone who does eat my flesh and drink my blood has eternal life, and I shall raise that person up on the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me and I live in that person.

In the Gospel of John, chapter 6, Jesus reveals several times that his body and blood are the eternal food. Another blessing He offers is that those who receive His Body and Blood with reverence will be raised on the Last Day. He will raise us, therefore we should take advantage of every opportunity to attend Holy Mass. The priest's consecration during Mass is a repetition of Jesus' sacrifice on Calvary. This mystery is the greatest blessing we may receive on earth on a daily basis through Holy Mass. We should thank Jesus, our Lord, for this blessing, and when we completely understand this mystery, we cannot have Him without tears.

So let us cry for our sins which is hurting our Lord severely. Let us console Him by our love, because of our  sins we may crucify Him again.

Lord Jesus, cleanse our sins with your Precious Blood. Jesus Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner!!

Jesus said, if we do not eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, we have no life in us.

John 6:52–53 (NJB): Then the Jews started arguing among themselves, ‘How can this man give us his flesh to eat?’  53 Jesus replied to them: In all truth I tell you, if you do not eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

  Jews asked Jesus how he could offer his flesh to the people to consume. They couldn't believe it. He became this celestial mystery through the will of Heavenly Father. According to the mystery of redemption, Jesus could die on the cross as a sacrifice to God, so establishing the everlasting Covenant.

  Jesus was teaching the Jews that if they do not eat his body and drink his blood, they will not live. Jesus gives us life through his body and blood. No other god has done something like. Only the Father in Heaven has the authority to bring us salvation through Jesus Christ. We should think that Jesus is performing the Holy Mass on the Sacrament of Alters for the whole world  in order to save souls for the Father in Heaven.

The Light and Darkness

PART XXXVII

The people that walked in darkness has seen a great light

  Today on 2nd Feb 2024 we celebrate the Presentation of the Lord in the temple. God is showing His Light(Jesus) to the whole world to bring them to the salvation, which He planned since beginning of this world. Isaiah 9:1 (NJB): ‘The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light; on the inhabitants of a country in shadow dark as death light has blazed forth.’ How we approach the light of Jesus is amazing as the whole world is in darkness and our good Lord allow us to meet Him in all the walks of our life.

   A beautiful reflection on today’s Feast by St Sophronius.‘This, then, is our feast, and we join in procession with lighted candles to reveal the light that has shone upon us and the glory that is yet to come to us through him. So let us hasten all together to meet our God. The true light has come, the light that enlightens every man who is born into this world. Let all of us, my brethren, be enlightened and made radiant by this light. Let all of us share in its splendour, and be so filled with it that no one remains in the darkness. Let us be shining ourselves as we go together to meet and to receive with the aged Simeon the light whose brilliance is eternal. Rejoicing with Simeon, let us sing a hymn of thanksgiving to God, the Father of the light, who sent the true light to dispel the darkness and to give us all a share in his splendour. Through Simeon’s eyes we too have seen the salvation of God which he prepared for all the nations and revealed as the glory of the new Israel, which is ourselves. As Simeon was released from the bonds of this life when he had seen Christ, so we too were at once freed from our old state of sinfulness.’ Saint Sophronius, bishop.

  God loves the world so much that He sacrificed His only Son on the Cross for our salvation. Jesus gave us his life by shedding his own blood for us as a libation to establish the New Everlasting Covenant forever. Heavenly Father has been pleased with this sacrifice because it ensures that we shall all live eternally. Today, at the start of Holy Mass, the priest blessed the candles as part of the feast.  John 3:16–17 (NJB): For this is how God loved the world: he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. 17 For God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but so that through him the world might be saved.

Jesus is the Living Bread came down from Heaven

John 6:48–51 (NJB): I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate manna in the desert and they are dead; 50 but this is the bread which comes down from heaven, so that a person may eat it and not die. 51 I am the living bread which has come down from heaven. Anyone who eats this bread will live for ever; and the bread that I shall give is my flesh, for the life of the world.’

Jesus is the bread of life, he gives his flesh which is came down from Heaven. Our fathers are ate manna in the desert, but could not sustain in the eternal life. Jesus establish this new covenant by shedding his own life and this way he renewed the old covenant and established the new covenant which is the New Everlasing Covenant. Jesus is giving this heavenly bread by shedding his blood and died for us on the Cross in Calvery for us. When we eat his Body and Blood we will not die, we will have eternal life which is his promise. This is the sacrifice of the Lamb of God, the one and only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord!

The Light and Darkness

Jesus is the Light in Darkness

PART XXXVI

Lord, bring us out of the darkness of this world, bring us Your light to this world.

  Jesus accepted the darkness for three days to fulfil the will of the Father to make a way of perfection for all humanity, for to establish the ever-lasting covenant through the sacrifice of his own life. Jesus told Jews about his descend to the dead in darkness. ‘Jesus answered, ‘Destroy this Temple, and three days I will raise it up. The Jews replied, ‘it has taken forty-six years to build this Temple: are you going to raise it up again in three days?’ But he was speaking of the Temple that was his body, and when Jesus rose from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this, and they believed the scripture and what he had said.’ (Jon. 2: 19-22)

But he never wasted any time in the darkness and he gave us the eternal life as a promise from the Father by his death and resurrection. It was God’s eternal mercy towards us sinners. ‘Christ himself died once and for all our sins, the upright for the sake of the guilty, to lead us to God. In the body he was put to death, in the spirit, he went to preach to the spirits in the prison. They refused to believe long ago, while God patiently waited to receive them, in Noah’s time when the ark was being built. In it only a few, that is eight souls, were saved though water. It is the baptism corresponding to this water which saves you now—not the washing off of physical dirt but the pledge of a good conscience given to God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who has entered heaven and is at God’s right hand, with angels, ruling forces and powers subject to him.’ (1Peter. 3: 18-22) He entered the black prison of purgatory. What a love! He wants for us to save our ancestors who were imprisoned by Satan the liar. Many hearts waited for him to hear God's Word, which was both light and life for them. See how merciful He is, for He is God. He went to see all the dead and rebellious sinners who were in the depths of the darkness. Who can go to Purgatory? Except that only God is capable of doing this. He resurrected the souls from the darkness and handed them over to Heavenly Father on the third day.  God transformed the corrupted body of human nature into a glorious one by offering His own Son's life for us. This is an incredible secret that God is revealing to us. Many people today still do not realize the Truth that is contained in Jesus Christ.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel
